TAMPA, Fla.- The Flagler women's cross country team was led by Isabella Santeufemio to a sixth-place finish at the University of South Florida Invitational on Tuesday Oct. 14 on the Claw 5k course in Tampa, Florida.

Santeufemio was the first Saint to cross the finish line at 20:57.5. Overall, the team earned 176 points securing sixth out of 15 teams.

"It was hot, humid and very sloppy out there today," head coach of men's and women's cross country/ director of cross country and track Brian Beil said. "Given the brutal conditions, I'm happy with the way our runners competed. On days like today you just hope to get everyone through it without any major issues."

Madeline Rodriquez (21:05.4) followed in 37^th , while Sammy Andress (21:06.0) made her collegiate debut with a 38^th place finish.

Eden Goddard secured 52^nd  and a new personal best time at 21:42.8, while Riley Carter (21:51.3) took 62^nd. Hope Siner earned 63^rd at 21:51.9. Tori Mills rounded out the Saints with a new personal record at 22:01.8.

Next, the Flagler women will travel to the Peach Belt Conference Championship on Nov. 5 in Beech Island, South Carolina.
