WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.—The Flagler College women's track and field team competed in its first indoor event of the 2022 season Saturday afternoon at the Mondo College Invitational.
Eleven runners competed in three events for the Saints.
Five runners ran in the 1K race, four of whom finished in the top-10.
Megan Churchill took home a fifth-place finish with a time of 3:13.09. Seventh place went to
Monika Kubai who posted a time of 3:15.23.
Jessie Mescal and
Enola Savel crossed the finish line with times of 3:17.49 and 3:20.39, which placed them in eighth and 10
th, respectively.
Savanna DeYoung finished in 17
th with a final time of 3:35.17.
Isabella Santeufemio earned an eighth-place finish in the 800m, posting a time of 2:38.17. The other Saints to compete in the event were
Emily Manning and
Madeline Rodriguez, who clocked in times of 2:54.69 and 2:55.84.
In the 600m,
Madison Peele finished in 11
th with a time of 1:48.38.
Marissa Kempf and
Maddi Hood were the final two Saints to also competed in the event, finishing with times of 1:49.86 and 1:52.05.
The Saints return to Winston-Salem next weekend to run in the JDL Flat is Fast Invite on, Jan. 23.
