Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Senior Day well spent in 4-0 victory over No. 22 North Georgia

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — Senior Day was well spent at Saints Field.

On Monday before the No. 4 Flagler College women's soccer team broke it open in the second half en route to a 4-0 victory over No. 22 the University of North Georgia, the Saints celebrated its three seniors Sarah-Lisa Dubel, Lauren Lannan and Sara Sandberg. The trio spent its last regular-season match on its home pitch the right way as four Saints scored, with three of those goals coming in the final 45 minutes.

"Today was a brilliant squad performance, in which we showed real determination and desire," Flagler head coach Ashley Martin said. "We looked dangerous going forward and had four different goal scorers, which combined with a clean sheet was a solid all-round match. I'm enormously proud of our seniors for their incredible careers here, and I'm delighted that they earned a victory on Senior Day!"

Just before half in the 38th minute, Maria Castorino Mujica took a pass from Liz Hall and netted her third goal from 18 yards out to get the Saints (4-0-1, 3-0-1 PBC) rolling. Flagler saw 11 of its 14 shots come in the first half as all three in the second half were goals. The first was via the foot of Moa Arlebo as her second goal of the season came from defender Sara Carr and ended up in the left-side of the net at the 53rd minute.

In the meantime of the Saints' next goal, goalkeeper and senior Dubel kept the clean sheet as she saw seven shots and hauled in four saves, which all came in the second half, from North Georiga (5-2-0, 5-2-0 PBC). The Saints doubled their score in a span of five minutes when Annie Habeeb sent a free kick up and through the right corner in the 72nd minute for her second goal in as many games, and then Jess Leach finished an assist via Phoebe Licence for the freshman's third score to cap the four-goal match.

Up Next: The Saints hit the road for a four-match stretch to cap the regular season, beginning at Young Harris Thursday at 3 p.m., and wrapping up at Georgia Southwestern on Friday, April 2.
