EDMOND, Okla. — Eighth-seeded Midwestern State University took the first point, but the fifth-seeded Flagler College women's tennis team took the last.

The Saints weren't as sharp as they would have liked in doubles; however, the singles made up for it as Flagler won four straight to defeat the No. 16 Mustangs, 4-1, at the Edmond Center Court Saturday afternoon.  
 
"We were excited to come back out after such a tough loss in our first indoors ITA meet yesterday," Flagler head coach Rodrigo Puebla said. "We started very slow playing doubles. We didn't come out with energy as we did last night, but we took it as a wake-up call and bounced back in singles. Going into singles we paid attention to small details, which turned into us winning four straight matches. We are very excited to come back out tomorrow and play a very good West Florida team.
 
The No. 10-ranked Saints (3-1) will face the No. 7 University of West Florida (4-1) in the final match of the tournament Sunday at 12:15 p.m.
 
Alessandra Traub and Florencia Massardo Brain won the lone point for the doubles and took that momentum into singles in their respective courts. Luisa Hrda was the first Saint to secure a singles' point as she dominated the No. 2 spot as did Amelie Vossgaetter on the No. 5 court. Hrda and Vossgaetter snagged straight set, 6-1, wins, while Massardo Brain took the third point and Traub clinched the match to propel the Saints in the come-from-behind win over MSU (0-3).
