The Saints started the second half with a 34-30 lead and quickly extended the advantage to 13 (45-32) after a transition layup by Roberts.

Valparaiso led the rest of the way until Lottie sank a triple with 1:39 remaining to give Flagler a 67-65 lead.

After a bucket by Edwards tied the game, Roberts made a layup in the final second and made the following free throw.
