DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. –
Jaizec Lottie scored a game-high 18 points, grabbed eight rebounds, and dished out seven assists in No. 2 (NABC Division II Top 25) Flagler College's 78-58 triumph over Auburn University at Montgomery Friday evening at the ICI Center as part of the two-day Bahama House Shootout.
Flagler evens its record to 2-2 while AUM falls to 1-2.
Callum Baker scored a season-high 13 points for the Saints while
Chris Metzger added 10 points and six rebounds.
Jalen Barr contributed nine points and eight rebounds and
Kohl Roberts grabbed seven rebounds. Flagler used all 16 players on its roster.
Trailing 22-21 in the first half, the Saints used an 18-7 run to pull away and never looked back. Flagler carried a 41-31 lead into the half. The lead grew to as many as 23 (74-51) in the second half.
Flagler dominated inside as it outscored AUM 40-18. The Saints also owned the rebound battle 44-33.
Sam Youngblood and Isaiah Hart each scored 14 points for the Warhawks. Jeremiah Bozeman added seven points, six rebounds, and four steals.
AUM was limited to 28.6 percent (8-28) shooting from the field in the second half.
Flagler faces Spring Hill College tomorrow at 5 p.m. to conclude the tournament.
