ST. AUGUSTINE – No. 3 (Oracle/ITA Division II ranking) Flagler College recorded a shutout, 7-0, against Young Harris College in a Peach Belt Conference men's tennis match Saturday morning at the Flagler Tennis Center.
Flagler improved to 14-6 overall and 6-2 in the Peach Belt while Young Harris dropped to 1-14 overall and 1-8 in conference play..
The Saints swept through doubles play to capture the first team point.
Luca Bolla and
Daniel Arrien raised their record to 14-5 with a 6-0 win.
Rasmus Jonsson and
Konstantin Dustmann clinched the point with their 6-1 win at No. 2.
Arrien recorded the first point in singles play at No. 6 as his opponent could not play due to an injury.
Reid Burrows followed with a straight sets win at No. 5 and Bolla clinched the match with a 7-5, 6-1 win at No. 4.
Felipe Carvalho, Jonsson, and
Lukas Storck also posted wins.
Flagler hosts No. 11 University of North Georgia tomorrow at 12 p.m. at the Flagler Tennis Center on "Senior Day."
