No. 28 Saints shutout No. 36 Pacers

AIKEN, S.C.– No. 28 (Oracle/ITA Division II Top 25) Flagler College rolled to a 7-0 win over No. 36 University of South Carolina Aiken in a Peach Belt Conference women's tennis match Saturday afternoon at the USCA Tennis Complex.

Flagler won its third match in a row and improved to 11-5 overall and 5-1 in the Peach Belt. USC Aiken dropped to 12-2 overall and 4-2 in conference play.

The Saints won all three doubles matches and pocketed the team point after Lixin Wang and Anika Nissen won their 10th-straight doubles match with a 6-2 victory over Victoria Giannaccini and Alice Nieves. Alessandra Traub and Felicitas Runkel posted the first win doubles with a 6-0 decision.

Flagler won five-of-the-six singles matches in straight sets. Eden Schlagenhauf, Nissen, and then Wang, clinched the match for the Saints. Nissen won her 10th-consecutive singles match. Runkel, Traub, and Paloma Martinez all recorded wins.
 
Flagler returns to the court on Wednesday (April 3) at No. 38 Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University at Daytona Beach, Florida.
