CHARLOTTE, N.C.– No. 28 (Oracle/ITA Division II Top 25) Flagler College cruised to a 7-0 win over Johnson C. Smith University in a non-conference women's tennis match Friday afternoon at the Coleman-Cuthbertson Tennis Courts.
Flagler improved to 10-5 overall while Johnson C. Smith had its six-match winning streak snapped and fell to 8-7.
Lixin Wang and
Anika Nissen coasted to a 6-0 win at No. 3 doubles while
Eden Schlagenhauf and
Paloma Martinez triumphed 6-1 to capture the doubles point.
Wang, Schlagenhauf, and Martinez all won their singles matches 6-0, 6-0. Martinez clinched the win for the Saints. Nissen, ranked No. 49, extended her singles win streak to nine matches with a 6-1, 6-2 victory at No. 3.
Flagler takes on No. 36 USC Aiken tomorrow (March 29) 9:30 a.m. at Aiken, South Carolina.
