ST. AUGUSTINE – No. 15 (Oracle/ITA Division II ranking) Flagler College downed Southern New Hampshire University 7-0 in a non-conference men's tennis match Monday afternoon at the Flagler Tennis Center.
Flagler improved to 7-3 while Southern New Hampshire dropped to 3-2.
Both teams won a doubles match, but
Luca Bolla and
Daniel Arrien fought hard and came away with a 7-6(5) win at No. 3 to win the team point for the Saints.
Flagler cruised through singles play as it won all six matches in straight sets.
Lukas Storck defeated No. 48 Tiago Fernandes 6-4 and 6-0. Storck evened his record at 2-2 against nationally ranked opponents.
Rasmus Jonsson clinched the match with his victory at No. 2 with a 6-4, 7-5 win.
The Saints open Peach Belt Conference play on Wednesday against Augusta University at 2 p.m. at the Flagler Tennis Center.
