ST. AUGUSTINE –
Tabitha Odabe scored a career-high 24 points and added 18 rebounds as Flagler College defeated Georgia Southwestern State University 68-59 in a Peach Belt Conference women's basketball game Wednesday evening at Flagler Gymnasium.
Flagler improved 18-7 overall and 14-5 in the Peach Belt. The Saints win also clinched a home conference tournament quarterfinal game. Georgia Southwestern lost its 11
th game in a row and fell to 8-17 overall and 5-14 in conference play.

Erika Lang-Montgomery. "It was important that we controlled the boards on both ends and not give them second opportunities."
The Saints used a 10-0 run to close the first quarter, which included
Jazzy Mathis' three-pointer to open the second quarter to give Flagler a 16-6 lead.
A jumper by Kris Beckham got the Lady 'Canes to within four (25-21) with three minutes left in the second quarter, but that would be as close as they would get.
Odabe did the most of her damage in the fourth quarter with nine points and six rebounds. She was a perfect 4-for-4 from the field in the final 10 minutes.
Kierra Crane added 14 points as she made 8-of-10 from the free throw line.
Chris Wilson finished with a double-double with 10 points and 13 rebounds. She added four assists and three steals to her line.
Flagler out-rebounded Georgia Southwestern, 51-38. The Saints held the Lady 'Canes to 31.3 percent shooting for the game. Flagler is 15-3 this season when holding the opposition to less than 40 percent shooting.
Lex Chatman led the Lady 'Canes with 10 points. Lele Young came off the bench to add eight points and eight rebounds.
"I thought we looked a little fatigued at times, especially as we struggled to finish around the rim," added Lang-Montgomery. "We are thankful for a couple of days of rest before we head to Francis Marion Saturday."
Flagler heads to Florence, South Carolina on Saturday to take on Francis Marion University.
