FLORENCE, S.C. – Flagler College used a balanced offensive attack to sweep Francis Marion University 25-20, 25-15, 25-15 in a Peach Belt Conference volleyball match Friday night at the Smith University Center.
Flagler (21-7 overall, 8-3 PBC) has won 13-of-its-last-14 matches, including winning three matches in a row. Francis Marion (18-13, 5-7) had its three-match winning streak snapped as the Patriots concluded its regular season.
Rachel Machovec,
Rebekah Machovec,
Logan Garcia, and
Karlie Redfern all finished with eight kills. Garcia added seven block assists while
Rachel Machovec collected 13 digs.
Kennedy Muff recorded her eighth double-double with 27 assists and 15 digs. She added five block assists to her line.
Kayla Norelli had a match-high 16 digs.
Rachel Porada served up three aces.
Flagler hit .269 for the match with 37 kills and nine errors on 104 swings. The Saints hit .375 in the second set with 15 kills and three errors on 32 swings.
Alyssa Hansen recorded a match-high nine kills for Francis Marion. Kayla Arthur added eight kills. Finn Millians tallied 24 assists and nine digs. Natalie Vaughn and Courtney Abdur-Rahim each collected 14 digs.
Flagler wraps up its regular season tomorrow at noon at UNC Pembroke.
