DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Tim-Frederik Lange scored the golden goal with just 26 second left in the first overtime period as Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University squeezed by Flagler College 2-1 in a non-conference men's soccer match Tuesday night at the ERAU Soccer Stadium.
Dawson Stephens got Flagler (1-8-1) on the board with the match's first goal in the 19
th minute.
Peik Koskinen assisted on the goal.
Embry-Riddle (2-5-0) got the equalizer four minutes later when Alfonso Martin scored off an assist from Olav Aamlid.
Jack Crichton tallied three saves for the Eagles while
Cameron Heustis had two saves for the Saints.
Embry-Riddle had a 13-9 advantage in shots, but both teams had four shots on frame. Flagler held the edge in corner kicks, 9-5.
Flagler returns to Peach Belt Conference play on Saturday (Oct. 12) at Francis Marion University in Florence, South Carolina. Kickoff is 6 p.m.
