ST. AUGUSTINE –
Damerit Brown came off the bench to score a game-high 19 points to help lead Flagler College to an 83-67 win over the University of North Georgia in a Peach Belt Conference men's basketball game Monday afternoon at Flagler Gymnasium.
Flagler snapped a six-game losing streak and improved to 6-9 overall and 3-6 in the Peach Belt. North Georgia suffered its sixth consecutive loss and fell to 6-9 overall and 1-8 in conference play.

The Saints reeled off 10 straight points after the Nighthawks scored the opening basket and never looked back.
Flagler led by as many as 13 points in the first half and took a 43-32 lead into the locker room.
North Georgia did claw its way back into the game with its own 14-2 run to close the deficit to one (55-54) with 10:06 left to go in the game. Shawn Hopkins drained a three-pointer to cap the run.
The Saints answered with a 13-4 run to put the game out of reach.
Gloire Biongo's transition layup with 5:58 to go gave Flagler a double-digit lead (68-58). He finished with a season-high 11 points, grabbed four rebounds and tallied three assists.
Vaughn McCall added 13 points and tallied five assists for Flagler.
Gedi Juozapaitis contributed 13 points and seven rebounds.
Chris Metzger grabbed a team-high eight rebounds.
Hopkins led North Georgia with 15 points. Zach Cottrell added 12 points while Zezmon Steeple chipped in with 10 points. Lanre Olatunji grabbed a game-high nine rebounds.
The Nighthawks were held to 22.2 percent (6-27) shooting from three-point range.
Flagler forced 12 North Georgia turnovers and cashed them in for 23 points.
Up next for Flagler is Georgia Southwestern State University on Wednesday (Jan. 23) at Americus. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
