Damerit Brown poured in a career-high 35 points and grabbed a season-high 10 rebounds in Flagler College's 78-60 victory over Georgia Southwestern State University in a Peach Belt Conference men's basketball game Wednesday night at the Storm Dome.
Flagler improved to 7-9 overall and 4-6 in the Peach Belt. Georgia Southwestern lost its ninth game in a row and fell to 2-14 overall and remains winless in conference play (0-10).
"It is always great to get a win on the road in this league," said head coach
Chad Warner. "A lot of guys played well tonight and that has to continue to happen for us to be successful. Our time is coming."

Flagler went on an 18-0 run over the next 2:47 and never looked back. A pair of technical fouls on the Hurricanes led to four made free throws by Brown during the run.
