COLUMBUS, Ga. – The Flagler College men's cross country team finished in fifth place at the Peach Belt Conference Championship held Saturday morning at Fort Benning.
Augusta University had all five point scorers finish in the top eight to win its third conference title. The University of North Carolina Pembroke finished a distant second place with 66 points. Georgia College (78) and Columbus State University (80) finished in third and fourth places, respectively.
Heading up the 70-man field was Silus Kipkoech of UNC Pembroke who posted an 8K time of 24:20.8. He finished over 30 seconds ahead of Daniel Broadhead of Augusta (24:51.9).
Flagler grouped four of its runners together, just missing out on all-conference accolades.
Kray Hubner finished 16
th with a time of 25:58.8. The top 15 earn all-conference honors.
Crisman Jones posted a time of 26:01.6 to finish in 17
th place.
Trenton Liberty was on Jones' heels finishing at 26:01.8 to place 18
th.
Sam Mack posted a time of 26:05.6 to finish in 19
th place.
Anthony Colasanti rounded out the Flagler runners with a time of 27:02.0 and finished in 28
th place.
Up next for Flagler is the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional Nov. 4 at Wingate, North Carolina.
