Saints clip Falcons, 1-0

ST. AUGUSTINE – Keiron Matthews' headed in Caleb Austin's corner kick in the 15th minute and that would be enough for Flagler College to come away with a 1-0 win over the University of Montevallo in a Peach Belt Conference men's soccer match Saturday night.

Flagler improved to 4-3-1 overall and 4-2-0 in the Peach Belt. Montevallo has now lost six of its last seven matches and fell to 3-7-0 overall and 1-4-0 in conference play.

Flagler's Lex Craggs recorded his first clean sheet of the season as he tallied two saves. Yannic Horn saved three shots for the Falcons.

Flagler out-shot Montevallo 7-6, but the Falcons held the 7-6 edge in corner kicks.
