th minute and that would be enough for Flagler College to come away with a 1-0 win over the University of Montevallo in a Peach Belt Conference men's soccer match Saturday night.
Flagler improved to 4-3-1 overall and 4-2-0 in the Peach Belt. Montevallo has now lost six of its last seven matches and fell to 3-7-0 overall and 1-4-0 in conference play.
Flagler's
Lex Craggs recorded his first clean sheet of the season as he tallied two saves. Yannic Horn saved three shots for the Falcons.
Flagler out-shot Montevallo 7-6, but the Falcons held the 7-6 edge in corner kicks.
Flagler's next two matches will be against nationally ranked opponents. The Saints head south on Tuesday to face No. 10 Barry University at Miami Shores, Florida in a 4:30 p.m. kick-off.
