ResultsST. AUGUSTINE – The No. 5 ranked (Golfstat Division II Relative Ranking) Flagler College women's golf team shot a tournament-best 293 in the final round to claim the 12
th annual Flagler Fall Slam title Tuesday afternoon at the Marsh Creek Country Club (par 72; 6,062 yards). The Saints trailed by four strokes going into the final round.
Flagler had finished in second place the last two years at its Fall Slam and finally got over the hump against a strong field that had six nationally ranked teams, including Flagler, to win its first Fall Slam title. No. 4 Lynn University finished in second place after going into the day with the lead. Lynn shot a 302 this afternoon to finish with a 606. Seminole State College of Florida finished third with a 614. No. 22 Armstrong State University finished fourth with a 616 and No. 10 Barry University, the defending team champion, placed fifth with a 624,
Finishing atop the 81-woman field was Jessica Bradley of Lynn who shot a 1-over par 145. She edged Patricia Schmidt of Armstrong by one stroke (+2, 146). Schmidt shot a tournament-low 69. That was the lowest score for a round recorded since the Fall Slam moved to Marsh Creek in 2010. Francesca Perini of Barry and Elaine Wood of the University of Montevallo tied for third with a 3-over 147. Maria Paolo Fiorio of Barry and Josefine Garton of Seminole State tied for fifth place with a 5-over 149.
Three Flagler players tied for eighth place with a 7-over 151.

Linn Weber and
Joanna Yoo all finished in a tie. Tucker shaved nine shots off her first round tally and shot a 71 today. Yoo was one of the biggest movers on the leaderboard as she started the day tied for 32
nd with a 9-over 81 and turned that around in the final round with an impressive 2-under 70.
Nicole Keyser, playing as an individual, shot a 9-over 153 to finish in a tie for 11
th place.
Marie Santacroce, last year's medalist, joined Keyser in 11
th place. Olivia Ferrer carded a 10-over 154 and finished in a tie for 16
th place while
Mary Rodgers, playing as an individual finished in 21
st place with an 11-over 155.
The Flagler Fall Slam concludes the fall season for the Saints and their next tournament will be third annual World Golf Invitational Feb. 8-9 at the Slammer & Squire Course.
