CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The No. 18 (Golf World/WGCA Division II Top 25) Flagler College women's golf team finished in sixth place with a 954 at the 54-hole United States Women's Invitational which concluded Tuesday afternoon at the Pine Island Country Club (par 72; 6,094 yards). The Saints shot a final round 327.

Topping the 10-team field was No. 9 Florida Tech who rallied from eight shots back to start the day and squeak by No. 7 Florida Southern College by one stroke. No. 6 Barry University finished third with a 931while No. 16 Newberry College finished in fourth place with a 935. No. 11 UNC Pembroke finished fifth with a 950.  

Jessica Hook led the 53-woman field with a 9-over par 225. She won by one stroke over four players, including Flagler's Olivia Ferrer who carded a 10-over 226.

Stephanie Tucker tied for 20th place with a 23-over 239. Marie Santacroce finished in a tie for 29th place with a 27-over 243 while Nicole Keyser tied for 34th place with a 30-over 246. Danielle Welker rounded out the field for Flagler with a 51-over 267, good for 49th place.

Marissa Marinan, who played as an individual, tied for 43rd place with a 44-over 260.

This was the final tune-up for the Flagler women's team for the Peach Belt Conference Championships which will be held April 19-20 at Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, Ga.
