Box Score ST. AUGUSTINE – Limestone College erupted for 10 runs in the middle innings to roll to a 13-4 win over Flagler College in a non-conference baseball game Sunday afternoon at Drysdale Field.

Limestone improved to 1-3 overall while Flagler fell to 2-2.

After scoring a run in the top of the third, Limestone plated three more in the fourth on the strength of an RBI double by John McDermott and a two-run single by Zach Hawley.

The Saints were not done as they added four more runs in the fifth. Run scoring singles by Avi Ahlzadeh and Tyler Wood were sandwiched around an RBI double by Cooper Gunter.

Leading 7-1 going into the top of the sixth, Limestone got RBI singles by Ahlzadeh and Julian Bridges in a three-run frame.

Limestone added two more in the eighth.

Cameron Ward (1-0) tossed seven innings and scattered seven hits, two runs and struck out six batters. Chad Balderman finished the game as he went two innings, allowed four hits and two runs.

Gunter paced the Limestone offense with two singles, a double, scored a run and drove in another. Ahlzadeh singled twice, scored three runs and knocked in a pair while Bridges singled twice, collected three RBI and scored a run.

Flagler struck for single runs in the fifth and sixth innings and added two more in the eighth.

Chace Mitchell went 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles, scored a run and drove in another. Nick Radomski singled twice, drove in a run and scored a run. Andrew Brodbeck tripled and scored two runs. Jake Hanson collected a pair of RBIs. 

Mike O'Reilly (0-1) tossed 4 2/3 innings, allowed eight hits, six earned runs and fanned four. Taylor Nelson, Drew Heifner and Michael Hanke also saw mound action for Flagler. 

Alabama-Huntsville won the earlier game, 9-5, over Limestone.

Flagler will play host to Valdosta State University on Wednesday (Feb. 6) at 5 p.m. at Drysdale Field.
