Dianna Craine recorded her third double-double of the season with a match-high 19 kills and 23 digs as No. 15 (AVCA Division II) Flagler College defeated Nova Southeastern University 3-1 (25-20, 22-25, 25-23, 25-18) in a non-conference volleyball match Friday evening at the USC Aiken Invitational.
Flagler improved to 4-1 overall while Nova Southeastern fell to 1-5.
Abby Meyers added 10 kills for the Saints and tallied four total blocks.
Emilee Taylor recorded nine kills.
Casey Gnann collected a team-high 25 digs while
Amanda Dougherty came off the bench to tally 26 assists.
The Saints hit .324 in the third set and wound up hitting .139 for the match.
Danielle Graham recorded a team-high 13 kills and added four total blocks while Sydney Cook contributed 12 kills and four total blocks for the Sharks. Sarah Shifflett collected a match-high 27 digs while Kristina Eric tallied 38 assists.
The Sharks were held to a .050 hitting percentage as they had 44 kills and 35 errors on 180 swings. NSU hit -.128 in the fourth set alone.
Flagler wraps up the two-day tournament tomorrow with North Greenville University at noon and then face region rival No. 20 Wingate University at 2 p.m.
