ST. AUGUSTINE – Emilee Taylor proved to be a force this afternoon with 19 kills and hit .375 to go along with eight digs and three total blocks as Flagler College opened the Peach Belt Conference Volleyball Tournament with a 3-1 (25-16, 23-25, 25-12, 25-19) quarterfinal win over Francis Marion University Friday afternoon at Flagler Gymnasium.

Flagler improved to 21-9 on the season and remains undefeated in the PBC Tournament with a 10-0 record since joining the league in 2009. Francis Marion falls to 18-12 and will wait to see if it receives an at-large berth to the NCAA Southeast Regional which will be announced Sunday night. The Patriots entered in eighth place in the region.

Dianna Craine recorded her 14th double-double of the season with 15 kills and 13 digs. Crystal Niederriter added 11 kills and hit a robust .556 with just one error on 18 swings. Casey Gnann led the defense with 15 digs while Amelia Morgan tallied 52 assists and narrowly missed out on a double-double with nine digs.

Liz Drewry led the Patriots with 15 kills and she hit .341 with only one error on 41 swings. Jessica Imbimbo recorded 10 kills and eight digs while Rebekah Davis led the defense with 21 digs. Kailey Smith tallied 32 assists for Francis Marion.

Flagler advances to tomorrow's (Nov. 17) tournament semifinal against Lander University at 2 p.m.
