AJ Hunerberg of the baseball team was selected as the Academy Bus Athlete of the Week for the period ending April 12.
The Palm Beach Gardens, Florida native led the Saints with a .533 batting average and helped Flagler take two-of-three from Georgia Southwestern State University. He finished with a team-high eight hits, including two doubles, and scored five runs to go along with seven runs batted in. In the opening game of the series, Hunerberg went 4-for-6 with two doubles, five RBI, and he scored a run in a 14-1 rout of GSW. In the series finale, he collected four singles, scored three runs, and drove in two more in a 12-8 win.Â
