Marley Middlebrooks of the volleyball team was selected as the Academy Bus Athlete of the Week for the period ending Oct. 19.

The Panama City, Florida native recorded a team-high 28 kills, had 22 digs, and added seven total blocks to lead Flagler to a pair of three-set sweeps over USC Aiken. Middlebrooks recorded a double-double with 14 kills and 10 digs in Friday night's win and then had 14 kills and 12 digs Saturday afternoon. She had four blocks in the first match and three more in the second. Middlebrooks has nine double-doubles this season.
