Lara Ardler of the women's golf team was selected as the Academy Bus Athlete of the Week, for the period ending March 12.
This is the second time this year she has received the weekly award (Oct. 30).
Ardler was selected as the Peach Belt Conference's Golfer of the Week after she captured her first collegiate title at the Benbow Invitational, hosted by Butler University, at the Jacksonville Beach Golf Course. The sophomore from Bremen, Germany, shot rounds of 76 and 72 to finish with a 4-over par 148, five strokes ahead of her nearest competitor. Her second round 72 was the low round of the tournament and allowed her to jump two spots into the lead.  Her efforts helped Flagler turn in the lowest second round team score and take the title, their first of the year.  For Ardler, the result was her third top-10 finish of the season and propelled her into second in the PBC with a 74.54 stroke average.
