Dana Heimen of the women's tennis team was selected as the Athlete of the Month, sponsored by Holiday Inn Express for the month of May.
Heimen was selected as the athlete of the week on May 26.
(from the May 29 release) The Ketsch, Germany native helped lead the Saints to the semi final round of the NCAA National Championship. Heimen went 2-0 in her singles matches, one of them was against No. 5 Alina Michalitsch. In her second match of the tournament, she won her first set 7-6 (7-3) against No. 2 Angelina Linnikova before the match was stopped. In doubles, Heimen and partner Anastasia Nikolova went 1-1, defeating No. 7 Linnikova and Carolina Reis. Against No. 15 Ailen Crespo and Andrea Di Palma, the Saints were up 5-3 (40-30) before the stoppage.
