Henriette Stranda of the women's golf team was selected as Academy Bus Athlete of the Week for the period ending May 11.
The Kråkstad, Norway native finished in second place with a 5-under par 211 (72-70-69) at the NCAA Division II South Regional last week. Her 54-hole score was the lowest ever posted by a Flagler women's golfer at a regional tournament and she helped the Saints win their first regional title. In the tournament, Stranda had 14 birdies and 33 pars. Â
Currently, Standa is second on the team in strokes per round (72.25) and through 10 tournaments, she has nine top 10s, six top-fives, and she has won two tournaments.
