Flagler College Athletics

Sydney Onega of the women's lacrosse team was selected as Academy Bus Athlete of the Week for the period ending April 27.

The Blacklick, Ohio native scored nine goals and tallied six assists in just two games to help lead No. 11 Flagler College to its third consecutive Gulf South Conference Tournament title. She was selected as the tournament's most outstanding player. Onega scored four goals and tallied three assists in the championship game against No. 22 Lander University. She added five goals and three assists in a rout of Lee University in a semifinal game.

For the season, Onega leads the team in assists (39) and points (78). She is second on the team in goals with 39.
