Finn Weigelt of the men's soccer team was selected as the Academy Bus Athlete of the Week for the period ending Sept. 22.

The Berlin, Germany native scored both goals in Flagler College's 2-0 win over preseason conference favorite Clayton State University last Saturday. He had three shots on goal. His first goal came when he slid into the pass and with his left foot, put the ball into the back of the net. Weigelt's scored the insurance goal when he headed in a cross pass in the 82nd minute. He is tied for the league lead in goals (3), leads the conference in GWGs (2), and is third in points per match (1.2).
