Stella Jelinek of the women's golf team was selected as the Athlete of the Month, sponsored by Holiday Inn Express for the month of May.

Jelinek was selected as the athlete of the week ending May 13.

(From May 13 release) The Leimen, Germany native helped lead Flagler College to its first NCAA Division II National Tournament appearance as she finished in a tie for second place with a 3-under par 213. Her score, score relative to par, and her placement were all program records for a regional. Jelinek carded a 4-under 68 in the first round and followed that up with a 2-under 70 in the second round. She shot a 3-over 75 in the final round.
