Taylor Stone of the women’s track and field team was selected as the Academy Bus Athlete of the Week for the period ending Jan. 21.

Stone finished in third place in the mile at the RADD Invitational, beating 35 other runners, with a time of 4:50.57. The Largo, Florida native hit the NCAA provisional time by over six seconds and is ranked ninth in the nation for NCAA Division II in the mile. She sits at the top in the southeast region and Peach Belt for her time.

The Saints split up and head back to the Alachua County Sports Complex at Celebration Pointe for the Alachua County Collegiate Invitational and the Camel City Invitational at the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, N.C. on Jan. 26-27.
