Beka Benge of the women's basketball team was selected as the Academy Bus Athlete of the Week for the period ending Dec. 31.

The junior guard scored a career-high 21 points and tied a program record with seven 3-pointers in a 76-46 rout of Talladega College on Dec. 19. The Kissimmee, Florida native finished the game 7-for-15 from the floor and 7-of-14 from 3-point range. She added three steals to her line and played 23 minutes.
