Baptiste Mercier of the men's tennis team was selected as the Academy Bus Athlete of the Week for the period ending Oct. 15.

Mercier became the first Flagler player to win the ITA Cup as he stormed through and won all four matches. The Nimes, France native defeated two seeded players, including the No. 3 seeded Tom Zeuch in the championship match.

This was the first time the men's program sent members of its tennis tam to the ITA Cup since moving to NCAA Division I. 

This fall, Mercier holds a 14-5 record in singles.
