Nadja Meier of the women's tennis team was selected as the Academy Bus Athlete of the Week, for the period ending Feb. 19.
The Potsdam, Germany native posted a 2-0 record at No. 2 singles, which included a win over a nationally ranked opponent. Meier teamed with Dana Heimen to go 2-0 at No. 2 doubles. That doubles team is ranked No. 10 in the nation. She was one of only two Flagler singles players to win a match against No. 2 Nova Southeastern University. Meier, who is ranked No. 13 nationally, defeated No. 39 Natalie Espinal in straight sets.
For the year, Meier is 14-2 in singles and is 12-3 in doubles. She is 10-2 when paired with Heimen.Â
