N'Mya Pierce of the women's basketball team was selected as the Academy Bus Athlete of the Week, for the period ending Dec. 4.

The West Palm Beach, Florida native recorded a double-double with 10 points and she grabbed a career-high 18 rebounds as Flagler College edged Emory & Henry College 63-62. Pierce added three steals and two assists to her line. It was her second double-double in as many games. Pierce is third in the Peach Belt Conference in rebounding as she is averaging 8.4 per game.
