Tirso Trueba of the men's soccer team was selected as the Academy Bus Athlete of the Week, for the period ending Sept. 11.

The Puebla, Mexico native helped lead the Saints to a 1-0-1 overall week. Both were Peach Belt Conference matches. He recorded a season-high eight saves and turned in his first clean sheet in Flagler College's 3-0 win over Georgia Southwestern State University last Wednesday. Trueba also had two saves in Saturday afternoon's 1-1 draw at league power Young Harris College.

For the season, Trueba holds a 1.25 goals-against average and a 73.7 save percentage in four matches. He ranks third in the PBC in GAA, save percentage, shutouts per game (.250) and saves per game (3.50).
