Oscar Del Granado of the men's tennis team was selected as the Academy Bus Athlete of the Week for the period ending May 15.

Del Granado posted a 2-0 record in singles and doubles at last week's NCAA Division II Southeast Regional No. 2. He defeated the nation's No. 10-ranked singles player in Joaquin Benoit of the University of North Georgia in straight sets (6-2 and 6-0). That match helped send Flagler to the NCAA Division II National Championship tournament for the first time.

This season, the Santa Cruz, Bolivia native has posted a 20-11 overall record in singles and holds a 14-7 mark this spring, all at No. 1 singles. He holds a 3-4 record against nationally ranked singles players. Del Granado is 22-11 in doubles with a 16-7 record this spring.
