Mauro Baez of the men's golf team was selected as the Academy Bus Athlete of the Week for the period ending April 17.

Baez earned all-tournament honors as he tied for second place at the Peach Belt Conference Championship this past weekend at St.Simons Island, Georgia. He carded a 4-under par 209 (67-75-67) and made 38 pars, second-most in the tourney field. Baez made 14 pars in Sunday's final round. 

For the season, Baez leads the team with a 71.33 strokes per round average. He has had seven top 10 finishes this year, including three top five finishes.
