Tori Pearce of the women's basketball team was selected as the Academy Bus Athlete of the Week for the period ending Feb. 27.
Pearce averaged 25.5 points, 9.5 assists, and 9.0 rebounds per game to lead the Saints to a 1-1 record. She shot 57.1 percent from the field and tallied nine steals. On "Senior Day," the Bay Shore, New York native recorded her second triple-double this season with a career high 41 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists against Georgia College. She nearly turned the feat again on Saturday at No. 8 Lander University with 10 points, nine assists and eight rebounds.
For the season, Pearce is averaging 17.9 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 6.2 assists per game. She leads the league in assists, and is second in steals and points, and fifth in rebounding.Â
