Jaizec Lottie of the men's basketball team was selected as the Academy Bus Athlete of the Week, for the period ending March 7.
Lottie was named the Peach Belt Conference Tournament's Most Valuable Player after averaging 25.0 points, 9.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 2.5 steals per game in the two games in the tourney. He also helped Flagler win its first postseason conference tourney since 2003-04. The Aurora, Colorado native made 56.7 percent of his shots from the field and 46.7 percent of his shots from 3-point range.
In the championship game on Sunday, Lottie scored a game-high 31 points and added four assists as well as three steals. He had a double-double in Thursday's semifinal win over USC Aiken with 19 points and 10 rebounds.
