N'Mya Pierce of the women's basketball team was selected as the Academy Bus Athlete of the Week, for the period ending Jan. 10.

The senior from West Palm Beach, Florida scored 19 points and grabbed nine rebounds in Flagler's 89-76 win over Francis Marion University last Wednesday afternoon at Flagler Gymnasium. Pierce made 8-of-12 from the field and tallied two assists to go along with two steals. 

For the season, Pierce is averaging 14.3 points and 11.3 rebounds per game. She  ranks fourth in the Peach Belt Conference in rebounding and is 14th in scoring.
