Jaizec Lottie of the men's basketball team was named as the Athlete of the Month, sponsored by St. Augustine Inn, for the month of December.
He received the athlete of the week honor on Dec. 20.
(from the Dec. 20 release) Lottie averaged a team-best 28.5 points per game and made 51.3 percent (20-30) of his shots from the field, including making 13-of-15 from the free throw line.
At the University of South Alabama, the senior from Aurora, Colorado scored a team-high 21 points and dished out four assists in an exhibition loss. Last Saturday at the University of North Florida, Lottie poured in 36 points on 13-of-24 shooting and grabbed seven rebounds. He sank 9-of-11 from the charity stripe. His short jumper broke a 63-all tie and his assist on a Jalen Barr dunk with 23 seconds left preserved Flagler's second win over a NCAA Division I opponent.
