Damerit Brown of the men's basketball team was selected as the Academy Bus Athlete of the Week, for the period ending Feb. 2.

The senior guard from Ocoee, Fla., averaged 19.0 points and 9.0 rebounds per game to help lead the Saints to a 2-0 week. He was on fire shooting as he made 63.6 percent of his shots from the field while making 60 percent of his shots from 3-point range. Brown scored a game-high 25 points and grabbed a career-high nine rebounds in a 72-68 win at Clayton State. He added 13 points and nine boards in a 79-58 rout of Georgia College on Saturday.

Brown is averaging 14.8 points and 5.2 rebounds per game. He is second on the team with 99 field goals made and 72 three-pointers made. Brown is second in the PBC in 3-pointers made.
