Flagler College Athletics

Johan Bergfeld of the men's soccer team was selected as the TraveLynx Student-Athlete of the Week for the period ending Oct. 9.

In two matches last week, Bergfeld scored one goal and assisted on two others to help lead Flagler to a 2-0 week which included a 3-2 upset win over Lynn University. In that match against Lynn, he assisted on the equalizer by Will Frandsen and also had an assist in the last goal for Flagler which gave the Saints a 3-1 lead. Last Saturday, Bergfeld scored the match's only goal.

For the season-to-date, Bergfeld has scored three goals and tallied three assists for nine points. He is tied for the team-lead with three game-winning goals.
