N'Mya Pierce of the women's basketball team was selected as the Academy Bus Athlete of the Week, for the period ending Jan. 19.

This is the second consecutive player of the week honor for Pierce.

The junior forward from West Palm Beach, Florida averaged 13.5 points and 14.5 rebounds per games in Flagler's two games last week. Last Saturday, Pierce scored 16 points and grabbed a season-high 17 rebounds at Columbus State. She added 11 points and 12 boards at USC Aiken last Wednesday.

Pierce ranks eighth in the Peach Belt Conference in rebounds per game and ninth in total rebounds.
