Mauro Baez of the men's golf team was selected as the Academy Bus Athlete of the Week, for the period ending Nov. 3.

He was selected as the Peach Belt Conference Men's Golfer of the Week.

Baez finished in second place at the loaded McDonough Cup.  The Posadas, Argentina native fired rounds of 71-67-71 for a seven-under-par 209. He finished just one stroke behind Rollins' Morgan Egloff for the title and helped the Flagler team to a fourth-place finish in the 14-team field. His second-round 67 was his low round of the year and set a career-low for a 54-hole tournament. Baez has two top five's and three top 10s in his four events this fall. He is currently seventh in the Peach Belt with a 71.82 stroke average.
