Flagler College Athletics

Rachel Machovec of the volleyball team was selected as the Academy Bus Athlete of the Week, for the period ending Sept. 8.

Machovec led the Saints with 47 kills (3.62/set) and added 25 digs (1.92/set) as well as eight total blocks (0.62/set) as Flagler went 3-1 in the Flagler Saints Invitational. Machovec ranks second in the PBC in kills per set, third in kills and aces (7). She leads the league in points and points per set. Machovec record a season-high 16 kills and completed the double-double with 10 digs vs. Shorter. She had a match-high 12 kills and recorded three aces in a sweep of Rollins.
