Eden Schlagenhauf of the women's tennis team was selected as the Academy Bus Athlete of the Week, for the period ending May 19.
Schlagenhauf, who is ranked No. 65 in the nation, won her singles match at the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional and went 1-1 in doubles with teammate Alessandra Traub.
The Nuertingen, Germany native defeated Caitlin McCullough of Tusculum University on Monday and her match Tuesday went unfinished as the team match was already clinched. In doubles, they lost to the Tusculum pair, but defeated Columbus State's Noa Davico and Luise Sachs, 6-1.
Schlagenhauf finished her first collegiate season with a 15-7 record in singles play and a 14-8 mark in doubles. She was named the Peach Belt Conference Freshman of the Year and took home second-team all-conference honors.
