Flagler College Athletics

Juan Iturra of the men's golf team was named as the Athlete of the Month, sponsored by Sleep Inn, for the month of April.

He was selected as the athlete of the week for the period ending April 21.

Iturra won medalist honors with a 7-under par 209 and helped lead Flagler College to its third Peach Belt Conference title. Iturra shot a 7-under 65 in the final round of the tournament, the lowest score ever posted in the third round and it tied the lowest score for a round in the history of the tournament. He birdied the first four holes of the final round, and then added four more birdies.
