Heloise Duffie de Tassigny of the women's indoor track and field team was named as the Athlete of the Month, sponsored by Sleep Inn, for the month of March.

She was selected as the athlete of the week for the period ending March 10.

Duffie de Tassigny earned first-team All-America honors in the mile run after finishing in eight place on Saturday with a time of 5:01.39 at the NCAA Division II Men's and Women's Indoor Track and Field National Championships at Pittsburg, Kansas. On Friday, she posted a time of 4:52.93 to qualify for the final race.
